*clings to laptop like a limpet*

Guys, seriously, I love spending time with my family but my mum seems determined to cram as much as possible into this week. Yesterday we went out before lunch and didn't get home until midnight. Today I got dragged out of bed at 8:30. 8:30AM!! On my week off!!

I had plans of all the fandom-related stuff I wanted to get done this week and it's just not going to happen. I still haven't seen the BSG finale.

Today we went to Alnwick and I spent £18 on books, which is a lot considering I was in a second hand shop where none of the paperbacks were more than £3. I think I came away with 8 books in the end. Books I really don't need considering my 'to-read' pile already has about 20 books on it *facepalm* Buying books is like an addiction. I actually had to put some back in the end or it would have been insane. Don't anyone let me go to Hay on Wye any time soon.

This afternoon I met up with supernaturalhel who has just got engaged. We had a few celebratory drinks and we played some pool. We played three games and I won two, but the final one was won on a technicality (Helen potted the black and the white at the same time) so I'm not sure it counts.

Now I have a good couple of hours to myself as my parents are at the cinema seeing Marley and Me and I have no idea what to do with it. Do I watch my shows? Make Merlin icons? Write my armer_gayms entry?

No, I'm going to start my Lex/Castiel fic because...just because!

Tomorrow all Mum-Ra has planned is taking the doggies to the beach for a couple of hours so I'm hoping I will have time for fandom stuff then too.

Oh, and I am beyond thrilled that two of my Merlin fics have been nominated at the Camelot Awards. I'm particularly thrilled to see What Might Be there because it didn't get a huge number of comments at the time and it's my favourite Merlin fic that I've written so THANK YOU to whoever nominated me.
