Whilst going back and tagging old entries in my journal I was forced to relive the pain of reading Sean Astin's book

Today Dad-Ra insisted we watch Into The West and who should be in it but Sean Astin *headdesk*

Thankfully Christian Kane is in it too so that lessened the pain slightly

Mum-Ra just insisted we watch this

I can't even look at Sam now without thinking of Sean 'conceited arse' Astin

Things I learned about Astin last night

1. Before the chapter had even started he listed a whole load of quotes from various critics saying how great he was

2. He didn't cry about not getting nominated for an Oscar, but only because he knew it was coming after not getting nominated for a Golden Globe or a Screen Actors Guild award

3. The comment he made in the last chapter about hating the official version of Return of the King was repeated in an interview which Peter Jackson saw. It really upset him and Astin had to do a lot of grovelling. He seemed to think it was ok to express these thoughts in his book though (maybe he didn't think Peter would read it. LOL)

I finished Tomb Raider: Legend last night. WHEE!!! It was great! I'll need to do it again some time, with a walkthrough, so I can find all the secrets and unlock all the costumes. But that can wait until I've got myself an Xbox 360 I think.

Now I can spend the rest of the weekend playing Warcrack. WHEE!

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. When he saw the draft version of Return of the King be cried with joy beause 'Peter had done right by me'

2. When he saw the actual version of Return of the King he hated it because all of Sam's 'best bits' had been cut out

3. He was convinced he was going to get nominated for an Oscar for it (I haven't seen his reaction to finding out he didn't get nominated yet)

I'm downloading the Lost finale! WHEE!

Now I have to go to work. Booo!

Astin mentioned Bean last night! WHEE! It was only a passing mention. He was talking about when the fellowship all went to get tattoos and he said that Bean had already left New Zealand but that he got his done later in New York (with Orlando. Aww!)

So there we go. Bean is mostly insiginificant in Astin's little world but at least he got a mention

Oh, and he enjoyed all the attention he got from everyone when he impaled his foot on a peice of glass.

Well, the living room/kitchen area of the flat is pretty much done and I'm aiming to have my bedroom finished before the end of today. Just a couple of little jobs to do first

There was only one thing I learned about Astin last night

1. He loves Andy Serkis and wants to have his babies. Seriously, there was an entire chapter just about how wonderful Andy is. Astin said he wished the other actors (Ian McKellen and Viggo were the two he mentioned by name) were more like Andy

Their love is so true ;)

Heading back to York today and will be spending the afternoon and evening cleaning the old house and unpacking at the flat. Fun! LOL!

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. His best friend on set was Christopher Lee. Mostly because Christopher considered Sam to be the true hero of the books

2. He was annoyed with Viggo because Viggo kept putting forward suggestions for the films that were taken on board

3. He used his daughter as a way to get closer to Peter Jackson, hoping that this would make it easier for Peter to listen to his ideas

4. He nearly cried when his ideas were not taken on

I was so close to ripping the book in half last night :-S

We're moving today! Tonight we'll be sleeping in FGP2! WHEE!

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. He nearly cried when he found out Sam wasn't going to be in the films as much as he thought

2. He invited Viggo out for dinner when he was hired as Aragorn. Mostly so he could find out if Viggo was being told things by Peter that he wasn't

Right, I'm only up this early because I needed to e mail

robhu. I'm going back to bed for a couple of hours

You cannot see my bedroom floor for boxes and bags. Just getting out of bed this morning was like navigating an obstacle course and I had to fight my way to my PC.

Got to wait at least 2 hours before I can find out whether the money has reached the Letting Agent. I hate waiting

Interesting crowd in the Big Brother house this year

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. He wanted to influence how the trilogy was directed and got annoyed and jealous when he couldn't

2. He didn't like Ian McKellen. Mostly because he was more famous and influential than him.

3. He has susper-famous parents. He must have mentioned his mum's Oscar at least ten times in one chapter.

Current Mood: awake

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. He is 'foliccly gifted'

2. He compares himself to Johnny Depp

3. He was jealous of his scale double because it meant he'd have less screen time himself

4. He was jealous of Elijah for being younger and more successful than him

I swear, actually finishing this book is going to be a real challenge
