Hallowhedon

I am home! Did I mention I watched the first two episodes of White Collar last night? Well, I did, and I liked it a lot!

Anyway I don't know if it's because I'm tired but I'm really struggling to remember much of what was said at the Hallowhedon panels. I definitely remember Nick being squicked about something that happened in the comics, which I think then transpired was a spoiler for the UK as that issue hasn't come out here yet. All I will say is I'm glad I stopped reading.

James talked about Shakespeare a lot. I love listening to him talk. He's very perceptive and insightful. Actually I think he and Misha are quite similar in terms of levels of intelligence. It's just Misha goofs around a lot more. James is quite serious a lot of the time but that's ok. There wasn't anything he said that I didn't find interesting.

He talked about the differences between stage and screen a lot which was really interesting, and he talked about human nature a lot. I didn't know he was a humanist. Would have loved to have talked to him about that in a bit more depth. Really interesting.

Mercedes, as I said, didn't have much to say. She was paired with Nick for the panel on Saturday where he did most of the talking and with Leary on Sunday which was just awkward because he was hungover and not really up to carrying the panel on his own.

Mark Lutz was wonderful. He was with Leary on Saturday and the two of them were hilarious together. He was with James on Sunday which was cool because Mark got James to lighten up a little and James got Mark to talk about some of the more technical and interesting stuff. A good pairing. Both of them said their favourite episodes on Angel were the ones where they got to fight with David. LOL!

Oh, someone asked Nick what the show would have been like if Xander had been gay instead of Willow. He wanted a Spike/Xander spin-off where they lived together like the odd couple. Hee!

The final panel was everyone together but it might as well have just been James, Nick and Mark. Nick and Mark were brilliant. It was obvious that by this point James was in A LOT of pain. Seriously, you could see him clenching onto the chair. Nick and Mark did everything they could to keep the attention off James when he was suffering. Absolute pros, all three of them

I'm sure the other girls I was with will chime in with the stuff I've forgotten to mention but I shall pop back later and post some of the photos. I really need a new camera.

Now I'm just counting down the days to Misha. Seriously, if I'm this excited now you don't even want to know what I'm going to be like in three weeks

First of all thank you SO much to everyone who photoshopped that picture for me. You guys are awesome! Wish I could use them all because I appreciate the work you all put into to.

I'm on the train home now. It's been a long and exhausting weekend but so worth it. Hands down the most well organised con I have been to. Everything ran smoothly apart from two very small things which had nothing to do with the organisers of the con. Word on the grapevine is that they're doing an SPN con some time next year so I will totally be there.

Not much to say that hasn't been said already. All the guests were great with the possible exception of Mercedes McNab who didn't really have a great deal to say about anything. Nick, James (Marsters) and Mark Lutz were all amazing and James Leary was fine until the Sunday when he was too hungover to be much good to anyone.

Took lots of photos so I shall post those in the near future. Right now going to try and catch up on my flist and I'm supposed to be doing an art rec post at [livejournal.com profile] sawedoff_recs so I should try and do that too

But I have to give masses of hugs to [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1, [livejournal.com profile] suki_blue, [livejournal.com profile] ionaonie, [livejournal.com profile] solar_cat and [livejournal.com profile] yavannauk for making this weekend. Seriously half the fun of cons is hanging out with other fans and you guys were awesome

I haven't seen Merlin yet because it started just as the con was coming to an end for the day. I understand it's squeeworthy so I will be watching as soon as I can find a download for it.

On the plus side HOW AMAZINGLY HOT DOES BRADLEY JAMES LOOK WITH HIS BEARD? I will be making icons as soon as [livejournal.com profile] yavannauk had got her wonderful pictures up. I am sad I missed him, but the con is amazing so I'm glad I was here too.

James Marsters deserves a standing ovation when the con finishes tomorrow. He's still in masses of pain from when he injured himself a couple of weeks ago. He signed all his autographs lying face down on a table and resting on a pillow because he was in too much pain to stand or sit for a long time. But despite all that he was charming and lovely, made eye contact with everyone and took time to chat. When it came time for the photos we were all told not to touch him in case we hurt him, so James compensated by pretty much glomping everyone. My lingering memeory of my photo with him is warmth because he literally wrapped himself around me and stroked my hair. Amazing. I can't wait to see how it came out.

Nick Brendan was wondeful and chatty too, and he did the snoopy dance during his panel which was faboulous. We'd all been told no flash photography after the first minute but he told everyone to take as many photos as we wanted while he did the dance.

It's been amazing so far and they've already got Anthony Head for next year. I'd love to do it again but I can't afford the ticket right now. Maybe after Christmas. Right now my brain is just focused on Collectormania and all that's going through my head is MISHMISHMISHMISHMISH!

More autographs tomorrow but we did the bulk of the stuff today so it should be a fairly relaxed day.

Oh, and we watched It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester tonight

ASTRONAUT!

Yes, posting Misha tweets is more important than reporting in on Hallowhedon. Hee!

This con? Worth every penny. Everyone is on fine form. Nick Brendan was singing karaoke last night and James Leary and Mark Lutz are winding each other up like nobody's business. James Marsters is fantastic as always. Charming and gracious and funny. He was giving away sweets to people who went to get the autograph but only if you said 'trick or treat' to him. LOL! Considering Buffy has been over for six years now I still got all giggly and fluttery when James asked me 'Are you coming to my house?'

Ah, cons, I wouldn't give them up for anything.

No talks yet. They're scheduled for this afternoon so I'll have more to report later.

Just booked my ticket for Hallowhedon! I opted for a gold pass since, after discussing it with [livejournal.com profile] yavannauk, it's actually the best value for money even though it's the most expensive.

Is it bad that I'm excited and it's over a year away yet? I'm crossing my fingers they'll get Nathan but like I said a couple of weeks ago I love Buffy cons so I don't really care which guests they get. Robia has already been added so I will hopefully be able to get her to sign my cruise photo if she doesn't cancel
