Hallowhedon
Nov. 2nd, 2009 04:12 pmI am home! Did I mention I watched the first two episodes of White Collar last night? Well, I did, and I liked it a lot!
Anyway I don't know if it's because I'm tired but I'm really struggling to remember much of what was said at the Hallowhedon panels. I definitely remember Nick being squicked about something that happened in the comics, which I think then transpired was a spoiler for the UK as that issue hasn't come out here yet. All I will say is I'm glad I stopped reading.
James talked about Shakespeare a lot. I love listening to him talk. He's very perceptive and insightful. Actually I think he and Misha are quite similar in terms of levels of intelligence. It's just Misha goofs around a lot more. James is quite serious a lot of the time but that's ok. There wasn't anything he said that I didn't find interesting.
He talked about the differences between stage and screen a lot which was really interesting, and he talked about human nature a lot. I didn't know he was a humanist. Would have loved to have talked to him about that in a bit more depth. Really interesting.
Mercedes, as I said, didn't have much to say. She was paired with Nick for the panel on Saturday where he did most of the talking and with Leary on Sunday which was just awkward because he was hungover and not really up to carrying the panel on his own.
Mark Lutz was wonderful. He was with Leary on Saturday and the two of them were hilarious together. He was with James on Sunday which was cool because Mark got James to lighten up a little and James got Mark to talk about some of the more technical and interesting stuff. A good pairing. Both of them said their favourite episodes on Angel were the ones where they got to fight with David. LOL!
Oh, someone asked Nick what the show would have been like if Xander had been gay instead of Willow. He wanted a Spike/Xander spin-off where they lived together like the odd couple. Hee!
The final panel was everyone together but it might as well have just been James, Nick and Mark. Nick and Mark were brilliant. It was obvious that by this point James was in A LOT of pain. Seriously, you could see him clenching onto the chair. Nick and Mark did everything they could to keep the attention off James when he was suffering. Absolute pros, all three of them
I'm sure the other girls I was with will chime in with the stuff I've forgotten to mention but I shall pop back later and post some of the photos. I really need a new camera.
Now I'm just counting down the days to Misha. Seriously, if I'm this excited now you don't even want to know what I'm going to be like in three weeks
