A few words

I just want to share a few words about Crys.

I only actually met him in person two or three times in the five or so years that I knew him but to show the sort of man he was the day after I met him I was doing a contemplative emo post and he was there with virtual hugs and supportive words. I'd known him less than 24 hours.

His summary of me after we met (taken from his journal): Met Hils for the first time. Pretty lady and friendly, now added to friends list.

Which I think makes him the only man to say I'm pretty. Mostly I get called cute. Crys made me feel special.

I think the thing I'll remember most about him was his insightful way of looking at the world. More than once I read his LJ out to the guys in my office because it had either made me laugh or made me think.

We shared a mutual love of gadgets and I remember him excitedly telling me about a new toy he'd seen advertised while we were at [livejournal.com profile] padfoot_uk's wedding reception. I'm using my itunes icon as the closest thing to a gadgety icon I have.

That was only the second time I'd met him in person but you wouldn't have thought it. He was always so easy to talk to.

I am going to miss him.

[livejournal.com profile] bev_crusher1971 is another SV fan who is now writing Merlin fic. I'm so glad I'm not alone in my new fandom but it's funny that it just seems to be the SV fans who are migrating. None of the people from other fandoms on my flist seem too interested. Is it just because Merlin and Arthur are the next generation Clark and Lex?

I have now also heard Colin Morgan speak in his natural accent thanks to [livejournal.com profile] thisissirius pointing out that this mornings Something For The Weekend was available on iplayer.

The boys looked kind of out of their comfort zones again, but Bradley looked less bored than yesterday. I suppose it must be weird for them though. They were both pretty much unknown before Merlin and now suddenly everyone wants to interview them about everything. And they're both so young too. I just want to wrap them up in cotton wool.

Why wasn't Colin allowed to play in the kitchen though?
